I think the word "yum" will be a re-occurring theme daily while I'm here. For breakfast I had 1000 year old egg with pork congee. I had bought it from 7-11 the other day but did not eat it yet. It's really tasty and again, only $1 and has hit the spot.
While I was heating up the congee in the microwave Ali pointed out an interesting historical fact about the 1000 year old egg (also called century egg). I guess back in the day, it was actually marinated in horse pee. Not really what I was hoping to hear about my breakfast before eating it but Ali assured me that it's no longer prepared that way.
ps - I just grabbed that picture from the internet cause it resembles what I'm eating, but looks much nicer.
